Software,

rhythmwith the work.

Cadence is how Emertech sells software. Prices move with the workshop's load, quotes lock for 14 days at a time, and every project lives in a portal you can sign off on as it ships. Quiet weeks cost less. Busy ones cost more. Honest both ways.

03How it works

A workshop, not a pipeline.

Most software shops pretend the price doesn't change. It always does — they just hide it behind the calendar. Cadence makes it legible.

  1. 1

    Geoff sets the workshop's capacity.

A single number, 0 to 100, that reflects how busy the workshop is right now. Quiet weeks sit near 30. Booked solid sits near 95. The number changes when reality changes — and it's the only knob.

  2. 2

Every quote moves with that number.

Each component in the catalogue has a base price. The capacity score smoothly inflates or discounts it. At 50 you pay the listed rate. At 100 you pay a premium. At 0 you pay roughly 10% less than baseline.

  3. 3

Your quote locks for two weeks.

Once Cadence issues a quote, the price holds for the lock window. The gauge can change tomorrow — your number does not. If you accept inside the window, you accept at that price.

  4. 4

Sign off as the work ships.

Every project gets a private portal: milestone status, threaded comments, files, and explicit approve / request-changes buttons. No black box, no surprise invoices.

Why this exists

Built and run by one developer

Emertech is Geoff. Cadence is what he uses to scope his own work, and is the same surface every client sees.

What you don't see

No auction, no marketplace

Every bid is reviewed privately. Nobody else sees your offer. There is no leaderboard. This is not Fiverr or Upwork.

What gets locked

Price, scope, dates

Once accepted, all three are fixed in writing. Mid-project change orders go through a clean amendment — no surprise re-quotes.

Currently
